The Chiefs have released fullback Eric Kettani and receiver Rashad Ross.
Kettani, a 26-year old lieutenant in the Navy reserve, went undrafted in 2009 and spent last year on Washington’s practice squad. He was waived by Washington in August and signed by the Chiefs in December.
Since then, the Chiefs have added Southern California fullback Jordan Campbell to the roster. They also boast one of the game’s best young fullbacks in Anthony Sherman.
Kettani has never appeared in a regular-season NFL game.
Ross, who is listed at 6 feet and 181 pounds, was signed in November as an undrafted rookie free agent from Arizona State. He also spent several months on the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad before he was released on Oct. 29.
Ross appeared in 26 games at Arizona State, where he caught 55 passes for 864 yards and seven touchdowns in two seasons. He also had 28 kickoff returns for 779 yards and ran in the low 4.3s at the Sun Devils’ pro day in March.
