Chiefs share video of quarterback Patrick Mahomes practicing Tuesday at OTAs
The Chiefs on Tuesday opened the first of two three-day Offseason Team Activities (OTAs) that will culminate on June 4. After that, the Chiefs will hold a minicamp.
Ahead of this phase, a big question was how much quarterback Patrick Mahomes might practice. Mahomes underwent knee surgery in December after tearing two ligaments in his knee.
The hope was that Mahomes might be ready for the season opener in September, but no one really knew how he was progressing.
We thought there might be a first look at Mahomes on Thursday when media members will be able to watch some of the practice. But the Chiefs gave fans an answer on Mahomes’ health two days early.
The Chiefs shared a short clip of Mahomes in a helmet and yellow No. 15 jersey at OTAs on Tuesday. Mahomes seemed to have no issue dropping back and throwing the football, but this was a short look at Mahomes in action.
Mahomes is wearing a brace on his left knee in the video. Remember this is a little more than five months after surgery.
