Matt Nagy has found his next job ... with the New York Giants.

Nagy, whose contract as Chiefs offensive coordinator expired after last season, will join the staff of John Harbaugh in New York.

The NFL Network and ESPN first reported the move.

Nagy had been the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator for the past three seasons and was the quarterbacks coach in 2022. That year and the next were Super Bowl championship years for the Chiefs.

That was Nagy’s second stint with Kansas City. Andy Reid brought Nagy with him from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013, and Nagy spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons as offensive coordinator.

Between stints with the Chiefs, Nagy was the head coach of the Chicago Bears and went 34-31 with two playoff appearances in four seasons.

Nagy had interviewed for a handful of head coaching jobs in this cycle and was considered a favorite for the Tennessee Titans job that want to Robert Saleh.

The Chiefs have hired Eric Bieniemy, the offensive coordinator in Kansas City before Nagy, to take over the offense. Bieniemy had three different jobs in the past three seasons. He coached the Bears’ running backs last year.

Harbaugh, who also worked with Reid in Philadelphia, is taking over the Giants after 18 seasons as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. He was fired after finishing 8-9 last season. Harbaugh won a Super Bowl with Baltimore in 2012 and his teams appeared in the playoffs 12 times.

In New York, Nagy will work with second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart and promising third-year wide receiver Malik Nabers.
