Why Chris Jones was added to the KC Chiefs’ injury report on Saturday
Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones missed Saturday’s team activities to attend a family funeral in Mississippi but is expected to be back for today’s game against the Baltimore Ravens at 3:25 p.m.
The Chiefs placed Jones on the team’s injury report Saturday for non-injury-related personal reasons. He was not given a game designation, like questionable, doubtful or out.
Defensive end Mike Danna is doubtful for the game, and end Ashton Gillotte and cornerback Kristian Fulton are listed as questionable.
The Chiefs elevated defensive tackle Brodric Martin and cornerback Kevin Knowles from the practice squad.
Martin was a third-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2023 and appeared in three games as a rookie. He began the 2024 season on injured reserve and was signed by the Chiefs in August.
Knowles, an undrafted rookie, has appeared in the past two Chiefs games and has logged 21 special teams snaps. He has four tackles.
