Chiefs

Here’s how the Chiefs can clinch a playoff spot for the 10th straight year on Friday

A victory by the Chiefs in Friday’s home game against the Las Vegas Raiders could come with a bonus.

If the Chiefs win, they could clinch a playoff spot. That will happen if either the Miami Dolphins or Denver Broncos also lose this week.

The Dolphins are first up. They play at the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

The Broncos play host to the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.

The Chiefs take a 10-1 record into Friday’s game, which begins at 2 p.m. (Prime Video/Channel 41).

There are two other playoff clinching scenarios for the Chiefs, but both are more complicated: A KC victory, plus a Los Angeles Chargers loss and Broncos tie, or a KC tie and Dolphins loss.

The Chiefs are bidding for their 10th straight playoff appearance. Only the New England Patriots, with 11 straight playoff seasons from 2009-2019, have a longer streak.

The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions also can clinch playoff berths with victories this weekend.
