The Atlanta Falcons should have a pretty good feel for the Chiefs-Saints game on “Monday Night Football.”
Just over a week ago, the Falcons couldn’t come up with the big play at the end of the game and fell to the Chiefs by five.
On Sunday, the Saints lost in Atlanta 26-24 on Younghoe Koo’s 58-yard field goal with two seconds remaining. A week earlier they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles by a field goal after winning their first two games by an average of 31 points.
Kansas City and New Orleans complete the early season round-robin with their first regular-season meeting since 2020. The Chiefs are the only 4-0 team in the AFC. The Saints have dropped two straight to fall to 2-2.
Where and when is the Chiefs vs. Saints game?
The game will be played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and kick off at 7:15 p.m. on “Monday Night Football.”
What’s the channel (and radio info) for the Chiefs game?
“Monday Night Football” games are broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters will call the action.
The game also will be broadcast on KMBC (Channel 9).
Additionally, it will be broadcast on radio via KFNZ (96.5 FM) and WDAF (106.5 FM) in the KC area, and KNSS (98.7 FM) in the Wichita area.
How many former Chiefs play for the Saints?
Four are on the roster. The Saints seem to pick up a former Chiefs defender each year. Linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (2020-23 with Chiefs) has started three games, although he left last week’s contest with an injury in the first quarter and has been ruled out of this game.
Defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (2019-22) is in his second season and played in his first game this season since suffering a calf injury.
Safety Tyrann Mathieu, with the Chiefs from 2019-2021, is in his third season playing in his hometown and has two interceptions.
What’s the betting line for Chiefs-Saints?
The Chiefs opened as a 5-point favorite with the over/under set at 42 1/2. They were a 7-point favorite against the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend and pushed in a 17-10 victory, keeping their record against the spread at 2-1.
What is the injury report?
Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will miss the game with a knee injury suffered in the first quarter of Sunday’s game.
Andy Reid said that Rice will undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury.
Wide receiver Mecole Hardman is listed as questionable with a knee injury.
The Saints list five players out: linebacker Willie Gay Jr., tight end Taysom Hill, guard Cesar Ruiz, center Shane Lemieux and defensive end Payton Turner.
