Isiah Pacheco joins Chiefs’ injury list, some others return ahead of Buffalo Bills game
Add Isiah Pacheco to the Chiefs’ injury list
Coming off one of his best games of the season, a 110-yard rushing effort in Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, Pacheco didn’t practice Wednesday because of a shoulder contusion, KC coach Andy Reid said.
Also, Reid said safety Bryan Cook, who was carted off the field Sunday with an ankle injury, continues to be evaluated. Reid called the injury a sprain.
Offensive tackle Donovan Smith (neck) and linebacker Drue Tranquill (concussion protocol) didn’t practice, either.
Smith could miss a start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead. Reid said rookie Wanya Morris, who logged 46 snaps against the Packers, could make his first start this week.
The Chiefs could get two players back this week. Linebacker Nick Bolton, who has missed the past eight games while recovering from a wrist injury, practiced Wednesday. Tranquill had been taking Bolton’s spot in the lineup.
Also, running back Jerick McKinnon, who had missed the Chiefs’ previous two games with a groin injury, was back at practice on Wednesday.
