Bengals sign Nico Johnson off Chiefs’ practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals signed linebacker Nico Johnson to their 53-man roster from the Chiefs’ practice squad.

Johnson, a fourth-round draft choice from Alabama by the Chiefs in 2013, spent last season with the Chiefs, appearing in seven games with one start.

He was waived by the Chiefs on Aug. 30 and signed on Sept. 1 to the Chiefs practice squad.
