How to watch Kansas City Chiefs preseason game vs. New Orleans Saints: TV, time, odds

Another short offseason comes to an end for the Chiefs on Sunday. They wouldn’t have it any other way.

Six months after winning Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs play their first preseason game at New Orleans Sunday at noon Central. First-team players are expected to open the game but see limited action.

The preseason is the time to take measure of the newcomers, and there are plenty to see. Running back Deneric Prince, wide receivers Justyn Ross and Rashee Rice and cornerback Ekow Boye Doe are among players who haven’t appeared in an NFL game who have flashed in training camp.

The turf should be filled with second- and third-team players after the first half, or maybe earlier.

Looking for a trend? Don’t bother. The Chiefs are 4-5 in preseason openers in the Andy Reid era. There were no preseason games in 2020 because of the pandemic.
