Kansas City Chiefs training camp starts Sunday in St. Joseph. Here’s how to find parking
Kansas City Chiefs fans who have attended games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will be used to buying parking passes in addition to their tickets.
When attending training camp in St. Joseph, which starts Sunday, the process is much the same.
Parking passes for training camp are available at chiefs.com/trainingcamp and by selecting “tickets” on the homepage. You will need to create an account with Chiefs.com or Ticketmaster.com to get tickets, which will be accessible on your phone.
Parking passes cost $5 for normal-sized vehicles and $15 for buses and RVs each session. Fans will be directed to park in Lot H at the university. All parking proceeds go directly to Missouri Western University.
Parking is free for season ticket members on their two exclusive sessions on July 24 and Aug. 9.
According to the university, the lot opens two hours before the scheduled practice time on the first day of camp, and one hour and 45 minutes before practice time for the rest of the sessions.
This means the lot opens at 7:15 a.m. only on July 23, and at 7:30 a.m. for the remainder of training camp. One exception: the lot will open at 6:30 a.m. for the team’s final training camp session on Aug. 17, since practice starts at 8:15 a.m.
If Lot H overflows with fans, university police and training camp personnel will direct fans on where to park. There are no free parking spaces on the university’s campus.
You can enter the training camp area in two ways:
Faraon Street and James McCarthy Drive
Mitchell Avenue and Southeast or Southwest University Drive
After practice ends, traffic will be directed away from Downs Drive for safety precautions.
Fans parked in lot H will leave onto James McCarthy Drive to Faraon Street.
If there’s an overflow of parking, fans in Lot J and K will exit onto Southwest University Drive to westbound Mitchell Avenue. Lots B and C will exit onto Southeast University Drive and head towards eastbound Mitchell Avenue.
