The Chiefs’ victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII gained viewers in a recount.

The revised audience figure of 115.1 million makes it the most watched Super Bowl in history, surpassing the 114.4 million that watched Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, when the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks on NBC.

According to FOX, Nielsen found irregularities in the coding that enables Nielsen’s measurement of TV viewing and issues with the out-of-home measurement of the broadcast. The revision added about two million viewers.

It also helped that the game was dramatic as the Chiefs overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to win 38-35 on Harrison Butker’s 27-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining. Patrick Mahomes, who threw three touchdown passes, was named the game’s MVP.
