To celebrate Chiefs win, defensive tackle is sponsoring adoptable dogs in Kansas City

To celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII win, defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi and a pet food company are paying for the adoptions of dozens of available dogs at KC Pet Project.

More than 260 dogs are now available to be adopted for free, thanks to Nnadi and the company, Ziwi Pets, the pet project announced after Patrick Mahomes led the 38-35 win against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“Good morning,” Nnadi wrote Monday on Twitter with a flier for the announcement.

The project responded, including several emojis: “Good morning and thank you!!”

A parade to celebrate the victory is planned for Wednesday in downtown Kansas City.
