Whew! The Super Bowl media sessions are over.

Players and coaches from the Chiefs and Eagles spent parts of the past four days chatting it up, and now those obligations are out of the way. It will soon be time to play Super Bowl LVII instead of talking about it.

On today’s episode of The Star’s SportsBeat KC podcast, we catch up with a handful of Chiefs, starting with All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. He speaks about redefining the tight end position and how his brother Jason, the Eagles center, was his lifeline in college.

Next up is defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. He addresses the difficulty of defending Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Philly RPO.

And then we leave the field for the front office. Chiefs president Mark Donovan comments on the meaning of the NFL Draft coming to Kansas City in April (it’s poised to be the biggest fan event in the city’s history).

Finally, Chris Jones brings this episode home. Asked about his Super Bowl experience, he compares the range of emotions he felt winning and losing a Super Bowl in consecutive years.
