Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes cleared for Sunday’s game at Houston. As for Kadarius Toney...

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes surprisingly showed up on Wednesday’s injury report with a right-hand injury.

But after three days of full practices, there’s no doubt about Mahomes’ availability for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

“There’s no concern,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “He’s doing good; he threw all week.”

Mahomes will play in Week 15 and doesn’t carry a game designation, but the jury remains out on wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

Toney, who has missed three straight games, put in limited practices the entire week and the Chiefs officially designated him as questionable against the Texans.

The Chiefs will continue relying on wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson and rookie Skyy Moore if Toney isn’t available, with Watson handling punt return duties,

Reid announced that defensive tackle Chris Jones is dealing with an illness and was the only player to not practice Friday. The Chiefs listed Jones as questionable for Sunday’s game.

If Jones can’t play, the Chiefs are likely to incorporate an interior defensive line rotation between Derrick Nnadi, Khalen Saunders and Brandon Williams.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Mecole Hardman (abdomen) worked the entire week, opening a 21-day window for the Chiefs to decide whether to activate him from injured reserve.

While the Chiefs don’t have to use the full three weeks to decide, it doesn’t look like Hardman will be available against the Texans despite his three straight days of practice.

“I’m going to tell with him ... I’m leaning away from him playing this week,” Reid said. “But he did have a good week of practice.”
