As it stands now, the Chiefs will enter the 2022 season with 17% of its roster made up of rookies.
All nine of those players were selected by the Chiefs in the NFL Draft, which was held in April. Many of those rookies showed flashes of potential during the preseason, so we want to know which of them you are most excited to see.
Here are the nine players and a highlight about each.
Linebacker Leo Chenal: Tied for second with nine preseason tackles.
Safety Bryan Cook: Had one of the team’s two interceptions in the preseason.
Defensive end George Karlaftis: He led the Chiefs with two sacks in the preseason.
Tackle Darian Kinnard: GM Brett Veach said of him: “There’s upside to both guard and tackle.”
Cornerback Trent McDuffie: He got out of the league’s concussion protocol earlier this week.
Wide receiver Skyy Moore: Returned four punts and two kicks in preseason games.
Running back Isiah Pacheco: His tough runs have impressed fans.
Cornerback Jaylen Watson: In the preseason, he collected seven tackles.
Defensive back Joshua Williams: Also had nine tackles in preseason games.
