Two days after his brother was killed in a stabbing, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed will miss Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sneed remains in his hometown of Minden, Louisiana, where his oldest brother, T’Qarontarion “TQ” Harrison was stabbed and killed Friday. Harrison was 32. Angela Washington has been charged with one count of second degree homicide, according to Minden police.

With both of his parents serving prison sentences, Sneed said Harrison helped raise him until their mother was released when Sneed turned 6 years old, a story he shared last month.

Sneed will miss his first game of the year when the Chiefs play host to the Raiders at noon Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. He has been on the field more often than any other Chiefs defender this season, playing 756 snaps, his versatility in the secondary proving invaluable.
