Kansas City Chiefs’ Rashad Fenton, Lucas Niang make return to lineup vs. Raiders
The Chiefs are going to be missing one of their starting cornerbacks for Sunday’s noon game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
But the team also gets an experienced cornerback back in time for the Week 14 kickoff.
Rashad Fenton, who missed last weekend’s game with a knee injury, will be available for action Sunday. And his return provides a boost at the position because L’Jarius Sneed is inactive: He remains in Minden, Louisiana, following the death of his brother.
The Chiefs on Saturday elevated defensive backs Josh Jackson and rookie Dicaprio Bootle from their practice squad. The moves came in the wake of cornerback Chris Lammons (ankle) landing on injured reserve. Bootle, though, will not dress and joins the inactive list.
Another key development Sunday: Rookie tackle Lucas Niang is dressed for the first time since Week 9, when he suffered an injury to his ribs. Niang has missed three straight games and the Chiefs are likely to continue starting Andrew Wylie at right tackle.
The Chiefs designated offensive lineman Kyle Long, tackle Prince Tega Wanogho and rookie quarterback Shane Buechele as inactive.
For the Raiders, tight end Darren Waller, linebacker Denzel Perryman, defensive end Carl Nassib, cornerback Amik Robertson, linebacker Patrick Onwuasor, offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor and defensive lineman Kendal Vickers were not activated for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
