Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers: when, where, how to watch, line, kickoff time
The Chiefs’ 17th game this season will come in Week 9.
The NFL added an additional contest this year and aligned the Chiefs with the Green Bay Packers. The game at Arrowhead Stadium is set to kick off at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday.
The State Farm Bowl is off: The game was expected to match insurance company pitchmen Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, who have appeared together in commercials. But Rodgers won’t play after testing positive for COVID-19.
The teams last met in 2019, also at Arrowhead. Mahomes had injured his knee 10 days earlier in a victory at Denver. He missed games against the Packers and the Minnesota Vikings as Matt Moore pinch-hit.
Green Bay beat Moore and the Chiefs 31-24 that day, and Rodgers was terrific in throwing three touchdown passes. This time, Mahomes is expected to start opposite Jordan Love for Green Bay.
The Packers bring the NFL’s longest winning streak — seven games — to Arrowhead. They’ll also be coming off some additional rest. The Chiefs played on Monday Night Football against the Giants, and Green Bay most recently played last Thursday, winning at Arizona.
