Chiefs

The Chiefs trailed at halftime against Washington on Sunday in Landover, Md. They endured a horrible second quarter, their three turnovers a dreadful reminder of how this team had played in the previous few weeks.

But the second half was nearly perfect as the Chiefs went on to win 31-13. Patrick Mahomes threw for a season-high 397 yards, and the KC defense turned in its best game of the season.

Let’s talk about it. Join KC Star beat writers Herbie Teope and Sam McDowell and columnists Sam Mellinger and Vahe Gregorian — plus your host, Blair Kerkhoff — at about 5 p.m. Sunday for another SportsBeat Live stream.

The stream will also be available live on Twitter via The Kansas City Star’s account: @KCStar.
