Road to repeat? What you need to know about the Chiefs’ opponents on the 2020 schedule

The math has been great for the Chiefs over the past four season. After 16 games in a 17-week span, the Chiefs have ended up as AFC West champions.

As they seek to defend their Super Bowl championship and win another division title, here’s a quick reminder of who is on the schedule, how the Chiefs have fared against those teams and a quick fact.

Thursday, Sept. 10: vs. Houston Texans

Kickoff: 7:20 p.m. Central at Arrowhead Stadium (limited fans allowed)

TV: NBC (Ch. 41 in Kansas City)

All-time record: Chiefs lead 7-5

Fast fact: The Texans have lost their last three season openers, including last year’s game in prime time.

Sunday, Sept. 20: at Los Angeles Chargers

Kickoff: 3:25 p.m.

TV: CBS (Ch. 5)

All-time record: Chiefs lead 63-56-1

Fast fact: The Chargers have never beaten the Chiefs since moving to Los Angeles (0-3).

Monday, Sept. 28: at Baltimore Ravens

Kickoff: 7:15 p.m.

Fast fact: Ravens’ Marcus Peters had an interception the last time he faced Mahomes

Fast fact: The Broncos haven’t beaten the Chiefs in the Mile High City since 2014, when Peyton Manning was quarterback.

Sunday, Nov. 1: vs. New York Jets

All-time record: Tied 19-19-1

Fast fact: The Jets haven’t made the playoffs since the 2010 season and last had a winning record in 2015.
