Chiefs’ Frank Clark to pay for funeral of LeGend Taliferro

The tragic death of a 4-year-old boy earlier in the week in Kansas City commanded headlines locally and nationally.

Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark took notice and decided to do something for the grieving family.

Clark will pay for the funeral expenses of LeGend Taliferro, who was shot and killed while sleeping early Monday morning, KSHB 41 Action News reported on Friday.

Clark used social media to confirm the news by quote-tweeting the report with a #TheRealLeGend hashtag.

According to KSHB, the Chiefs defensive end has been in touch with Taliferro’s mother, Charron Powell, to assist in covering the funeral costs.

The TV station added that Clark plans to play the first regular-season game in the child’s name.

No arrests have been made and the Kansas City Police Department has asked for anyone with information on the case to call either the Homicide Unit at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
