Patrick Mahomes offers Chiefs’ game-day experience that includes being drum leader

Among the drum leaders for Chiefs games last season were Jamaal Charles, Brian Waters, Derrick Johnson and Paul Rudd.

Those are all names fans recognize. But next season, one drum leader likely will be a virtual unknown.

That’s because Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is auctioning a game-day experience that includes being the drum leader for a regular-season contest in 2020. It’s part of Fanatics’ All-In Challenge, which is raising money to help front-line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the elderly and children.

Among the celebrities who have stepped up with once-in-a-lifetime experiences are Tom Brady, Bill Murray, Magic Johnson, the cast of “Friends,” Peyton Manning and more.

The Chiefs’ game-day experience also includes:

  • A flight to Kansas City for two and room in a hotel
  • Two front-row seats at Arrowhead Stadium
  • A valet parking pass
  • Two locker room club passes
  • A chance to meet Mahomes after the game
  • Two pregame sideline passes
  • Two locker room club passes
  • An autographed Mahomes jersey and cleats

According to Fanatics, the money raised will go to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry.

The auction will continue for another 16 days, but the top bid as of Tuesday morning was already at $25,000.

Mahomes’ charity tweeted about the auction:
