Chiefs’ Chris Jones, Travis Kelce return to full practice ahead of Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Tuesday everyone would practice ahead of Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers.

On Wednesday, the first official injury/practice report backed up Reid’s declaration.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf), tight end Travis Kelce (knee), center Austin Reiter (wrist) and tight end Deon Yelder (Achilles) were all full participants in Wednesday’s practice.

Jones and Kelce were limited last week in Kansas City before the Chiefs flew Sunday to Miami. So having all players go through full practices just days ahead of playing for the league championship is as good as it gets for any team.

Jones, in particular, said last week that he was “1,000%” ready to resume his normal duties on the defensive line after missing the AFC Divisional Round and playing in a rotational basis early in the AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs will hold two more practices on Thursday and Friday before taking on the 49ers at 5:30 p.m. Central time Sunday in Hard Rock Stadium.
