AFC champs’ chairs: More seats from Arrowhead Stadium are up for sale Monday morning

Were you sitting in an orange seat at Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC championship and advanced to their first Super Bowl in half a century? Do you want to own the seat?

On Monday, 6,000-8,000 orange seats will be pulled out of Arrowhead Stadium and replaced. They’ll be available for fans to purchase. Each seat will have the Arrowhead logo, and fans can select the row and seat number.

According to Schneider Industries, a Clayton, Missouri-based company that partners with Jackson County to handle such sales, single seats will sell for $397 and double seats will go for $509 delivered. Season-ticket holders get a 10 percent discount.

Purchases can be made through the website www.arrowheadseatsale.com, which goes live at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27.

Schneider Industries said it has worked similarly with the St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys.

A portion of the Arrowhead seat sales will go to Jackson County Parks and Rec for upgrades to its parks, according to the Schneider news release.
