Chiefs’ Robinson misses practice; Chris Jones, Kelce limited ahead of Super Bowl LIV
The Kansas City Chiefs had a light day of indoor practice Wednesday and were only missing one player.
Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was not present when the team took the practice field because of an illness.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf) and tight end Travis Kelce (knee) were listed as limited participants on Wednesday’s NFL practice report.
Jones’ status doesn’t come as much of a surprise. He returned to action in the AFC Championship Game after missing the AFC Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans. His limited participation Wednesday probably isn’t cause for alarm, as head coach Andy Reid indicated Monday that Jones should be fine against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2.
Kelce has been a limited participant in practice throughout the postseason but has played effectively in both of the Chiefs’ playoff games.
The Chiefs listed wide receiver Mecole Hardman (back), cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder), defensive end Tanoh Kpassagon (hand) and center Austin Reiter (wrist) as full participants in Wednesday’s session.
The Chiefs will hold two more practices, Thursday and Friday, in Kansas City before flying Sunday to Miami.
