Chiefs’ Andrew Wylie inactive vs. Chargers, will miss second straight game
Guard Andrew Wylie will miss a second consecutive game.
The Kansas City Chiefs listed Wylie, who was designated as questionable on Friday’s injury report, among seven players inactive for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
With Wylie down, Stefen Wisniewski will likely start again at left guard.
Defensive tackle Xavier Williams, whom the Chiefs activated from injured reserve on Wednesday, is also inactive.
Williams is returning from a high-ankle sprain but put in three full practices over the past week. Kansas City has depth along the interior defensive line, with Chris Jones, Derrick Nnadi, Mike Pennel and rookie Khalen Saunders, and the Chiefs could be holding out Williams until the postsesaon.
The remaining players not suiting up against the Chargers are cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder), quarterback Chad Henne, offensive lineman Jackson Barton, tight end Deon Yelder and cornerback Alex Brown.
Claiborne hasn’t played since suffering his shoulder injury in Week 13.
