Chiefs’ Andrew Wylie only player to miss practice Wednesday; Damien Williams limited

The Kansas City Chiefs listed nine players on Wednesday’s NFL injury report, but the team is relatively healthy.

Left guard Andrew Wylie was the only player to not practice as he deals with an illness as well as ankle and shoulder ailments. Stefen Wisniewski would be in line to see action Sunday against the Chicago Bears if Wylie can’t play.

Running back Damien Williams (rib), cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder) and Rashad Fenton (hamstring) were limited.

Williams hasn’t played since suffering the rib injury in Week 11 and has missed three straight games. He put in two limited practices last week before missing Friday’s work with an illness.

What Williams can do in the next two practices will help determine his availability for Sunday’s game. The Chiefs have relied on a backfield committee lately, with Spencer Ware, LeSean McCoy and rookie Darwin Thompson getting carries in the past two games.

Claiborne and Fenton suffered their respective injuries in Week 13 and have each missed two games.

The Chiefs listed quarterback Patrick Mahomes (right hand), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (shoulder), cornerback Kendall Fuller (thumb), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (elbow) and punter Dustin Colquitt (right knee) as full participants in Wednesday’s practice.

Of note, defensive end Frank Clark is no longer listed on the Chiefs’ injury report. Clark dealt with a stomach illness in recent weeks, but played 46 snaps Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday he hoped the worst was behind Clark, and the absence of Clark on Wednesday’s report is a good sign the pass rusher has moved on from his stomach issues.
