Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark misses another practice while dealing with illness

Frank Clark’s stomach issues kept him from doing on-field work for a second straight day.

The Kansas City Chiefs defensive end did not practice Thursday. He continues to be evaluated by a specialist.

Clark’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos remains up in the air, but his status should become clearer following Friday’s practice.

Clark became ill late last week but was able to play in Sunday’s 23-16 win at the New England Patriots. He totaled just 31 snaps, though, or less than half of the team’s total defensive snaps (66).

Linebacker Darron Lee (not injury-related), cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder) and cornerback Rashad Fenton (hamstring) also missed a second straight day of practice. Claiborne and Fenton did not play in Week 14 at New England.

Running back Damien Williams (rib) and guard Andrew Wylie (shoulder) were limited again. Williams is seeking a return to action for the first time since Week 11.

The Chiefs listed quarterback Patrick Mahomes (right hand), tackle Eric Fisher (groin), defensive end Alex Okafor (ankle), cornerback Kendall Fuller (thumb) and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (elbow) as full participants in Thursday’s session.
