Chiefs’ Damien Williams misses second straight practice; Watkins dealing with illness

The Kansas City Chiefs were down two players for Thanksgiving Day’s practice.

Running back Damien Williams (rib) missed a second straight day of practice, while wide receiver Sammy Watkins was held out because of an illness.

While the Chiefs still have a Friday practice to go before hosting the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday, Williams’ availability is very much up in the air. He originally suffered the injury in Week 11 and did not finish the game.

Running backs LeSean McCoy, Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson would likely split touches Sunday if Williams can’t play. The Chiefs also have running back Elijah McGuire on the practice squad.

The rest of the Chiefs’ injury report remained the same from Wednesday.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (hamstring), tackle Mitchell Schwartz (knee), defensive end Alex Okafor (ankle), tight end Blake Bell (ankle), cornerback Kendall Fuller (thumb), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (elbow) and safety Jordan Lucas (shoulder) practiced fully for a second straight day.

Fuller and Okafor are on track to return to action after missing several games over the past month.
