Chiefs’ Kevin Vickerson ready for a re-do
Defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson’s last matchup with the Patriots left a bad taste in his mouth.
Not only did he and the Broncos lose after building a 24-0 lead by halftime, but he left the game with a dislocated hip which ended his season.
“This is a big game and it’s emotional for me coming back and playing these guys again,” Vickerson said.
Now that he is back and healthy playing as a defensive tackle for the Chiefs, part of the responsibility will fall on him to help stop the running game which has accounted for 315 yards and two touchdowns between Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen.
“They are going to try to run it to protect Brady,” Vickerson said. “Their offensive line is trying to find itself right now, but that is a good team over there. They have a good leader and he can motivate anybody.”
