Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins listed as questionable for game against Rams

Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins is listed as questionable for the Monday Night Football showdown against the Los Angeles Rams.

Watkins missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals because of a foot injury. He’s the Chiefs’ third-leading receiver with 39 catches for 515 yards and three touchdowns.

“We’re taking it day to day, seeing how he does,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “He’s making progress..”

Watkins saw limited practice time on Thursday but didn’t practice on Friday or Saturday.

“He was testing it out and we just kind of felt like we needed to back off and just let it rest here a little bit,” Reid said. “We will see. Every day has gotten a little bit better, so that’s a plus.”

The Chiefs listed center Mitch Morse (concussion) and safety Eric Berry (heel) as doubtful for the game. Berry hasn’t played this season.

The Rams also are without one of their weapons. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp tore an ACL in last week’s victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
