Chiefs right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to miss action with leg fracture
Chiefs guard Laurent-Duveray-Tardif has a fractured fibula, coach Andy Reid said, but the injury is not expected to be season-ending.
Duvernay-Tardif suffered the injury to his left leg in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 30-14 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, when he was rolled up by a Jags defender.
Duvernay-Tardif was walking with a single crutch in the locker room after the game.
“It’s going to take a little bit of time but he’s not done for the year, which is a positive,” Reid said.
The fifth-year pro had taken every snap this season before the injury.
Jordan Devey finished the game at right guard. Devey, a fifth-year pro, is in his third season with the Chiefs and has made 15 career starts, including two with Kansas City.
This will be the second straight year Duvernay-Tardif will have missed games with an injury, sitting five games in 2017 with a knee injury.
