Chiefs playoff tickets go on sale next week. Here’s how you can get them early
The Chiefs have a 95 percent chance to win the AFC West and ensure themselves at least one home playoff game, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Tickets for those potential games — the AFC Wild Card and AFC Divisional rounds — will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
But several can qualify for presale offers, announced Wednesday by the Chiefs.
Jackson County residents will have the first opportunity to purchase postseason tickets at 9 a.m. Monday during a presale, but they must do so in person at the Arrowhead Stadium ticket office on the northwest side of the stadium. To qualify for the presale Monday, taxpayers must present a form of photo identification and a 2016 paid personal property tax receipt from Jackson County.
Chiefs season ticket holders, who have already received the option to opt-in to playoff tickets, can purchase additional tickets at 10 a.m. Monday. They will be notified of those details via email.
A presale for Chiefs Kingdom Rewards members will open at noon Monday. Fans interested in that presale can visit chiefskingdomrewards.com or download the Chiefs Mobile app.
The Chiefs are currently fourth in the AFC playoff standings, which would guarantee them an AFC Wild Card home game.
Tickets for a potential AFC Championship game at Arrowhead will go on sale if or when the game is certain to occur.
The Wild Card game would be played either Jan. 6 or Jan. 7, with Divisional weekend slated for the following weekend.
