The Chiefs released tackle Ryan McKee, cornerback Damond Smith and cornerback Kevin Rutland and got down to the 75-man roster limit.

McKee got some second-team reps throughout training camp but has been dealing with a knee injury for the better part of a week. Rutland had been receiving most of his reps with the third team. Smith, who was signed shortly after camp began, has been battling an abductor injury.

The Chiefs have to pare their roster down to 53 men by 3 p.m. on Saturday.
