Bishop Sankey, signed by the Chiefs earlier in the week to supply running back depth, is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

The Chiefs’ running back depth was reduced with a concussion to Spencer Ware in last week’s victory at Indianapolis and Jamaal Charles’ trip to injured reserve after reoccurring problems with his knee.

But the Chiefs picked up Knile Davis on Saturday. Davis had entered his fourth year with the Chiefs before he was released earlier this season.

Signing Davis gives the Chiefs an experienced running back who knows the playbook. Sankey spent the week playing catch-up.

Also inactive for the Chiefs: quarterback Alex Smith, cornerbacks D.J. White and Terrance Mitchell, tight end Ross Travis and offensive lineman Mike Person.
