The Chiefs weren’t able to get a good look at newly acquired linebacker Sio Moore on Wednesday. He had the flu.
“We got him out of there so it doesn’t affect anybody else,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said.
Moore started four games for the Colts before he was released. The Chiefs signed him last week after releasing Dezman Moses.
Moore practiced with the Chiefs on Monday and got some first-team reps at outside linebacker, Reid said.

“We’ll just see,” Reid said. “He’s a good player, a tough kid. When he was playing the outside, I thought he had some pass-rush ability.”
Moore is a four-year veteran who was taken in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Raiders. He posted his best statistical season in 2014, when he recorded 90 tackles and three sacks. He was dealt to the Colts in September 2015 for a sixth-round pick.
