Running back Jamaal Charles will sit out for the third straight game when the Chiefs meet the Jets on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

There was some indication that Charles might see action for the first time since last season, but the Chiefs are being cautious with his return from offseason knee surgery.

Also inactive for the Chiefs are offensive linemen Parker Ehinger and Jah Reid, meaning Jordan Devey, who opened the season on the practice squad, will make his first start at guard.

Quarterback Tyler Bray, wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas, cornerback Kenneth Acker and linebacker Sam Barrington also were inactive for the Chiefs.
