Former Kansas State and Grandview High standout quarterback Josh Freeman has landed in the Fall Experimental Football League.

Freeman, 27, has signed with the Brooklyn Bolts. The story was first reported by NFL.com.

The FXFL is a four-team minor league that begins its second season in October.

Freeman is a former first-round NFL Draft selection who played 60 regular-season games for the Buccaneers during 2009-13 and one for the Vikings in 2013 and also appeared on the rosters of the Giants and Dolphins.

He set Kansas State’s career total yards record in three seasons, 2006-08. He was the 2005 Simone Award winner as the metro area’s top high school football player.
