Semi Ojeleye was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday night by the Boston Celtics.

Ojeleye, who went to high school in Ottawa, Kan., was the 37th pick overall. He played last season in college at SMU.

Ojeleye was the American Athletic Conference’s player of the year this past season. He averaged 18.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Mustangs, who went 30-5 and made it to the NCAA Tournament where they lost their first game to Southern California.

Ojeleye played at Duke for two seasons before transferring to SMU. He averaged 6.2 minutes per game at Duke during his two seasons.

Ojeleye’s brother Victor Ojeleye played at Kansas State from the 2008-09 season through the 2011-12 season.
