Start times announced for 2017 NASCAR slate at Kansas Speedway
Kansas Speedway’s schedule for NASCAR events largely will remain unchanged in 2017 after the International Speedway Corporation’s 1.5-mile tri-oval in Kansas City, Kan., announced start times and broadcast information for next season.
During the spring race weekend, the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series race will start at 7:30 p.m. on May 12, while the Sprint Cup Series’ Go Bowling 400 is slated for 6:30 p.m. on May 13.
Both races will be televised on FS1 and broadcast on Motor Racing Network radio affiliates, including KCTE in Kansas City.
During the fall race weekend in 2017, the Xfinity Series’ Kansas Lottery 300 on Oct. 21 will start at 2 p.m. on NBC, while the green flag drops on the Sprint Cup Series’ Hollywood Casino 400 at 2 p.m. on Oct. 22.
The latter race, which will be broadcast on NBC Sports, serves as a cutoff between rounds in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
Both races also will be on the Motor Racing Network.
Tickets for this season’s fall race weekend — including the ARCA Racing Series season finale at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14, the Xfinity Series Kansas Lottery 300 at 2 p.m. Oct. 15 and the Sprint Cup Series’ Hollywood Casino 400 at 1 p.m. Oct. 16 — are available at the Kansas Speedway ticket office, online at www.kansasspeedway.com or by calling 1-866-460-7223.
