Lakeside Speedway to celebrate Old-timers Night

It will be Old-timers Night at Lakeside Speedway on Friday when the track will honor racers from past years.

As part of the night’s activities, the Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racers will be racing along with the USRA A Mods, B Mods, Stock Cars and the Grand Nationals. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45, with racing starting at 7:30.

In addition, the new Lakeside Speedway museum will open on Friday night behind suites 7, 8, and 9 and will be free to the public. More than 60 years of items will be on display, divided into periods of 1955-1969; 1970-1988, 92nd and Leavenworth Road; 1989-1999, the asphalt years; 2000-2012, Back to the Future, and 2013 to the present.
