Clint Bowyer’s mom to wave green flag at Kansas Speedway

Jana Bowyer, mother of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Clint Bowyer of Emporia, Kan., will drop the green flag for Saturday night’s 5-hour Energy 400 at Kansas Speedway, as part of Mother’s Day weekend.

“We’re a pretty close family, so we’ve all been ragging her a little bit … ‘Don’t drop the flag, mom, just whatever you do, not drop the flag,’” Bowyer said. “It’s pretty cool. I hope there’s not a caution.”
