CLEVELAND – Christian Colon got the first big-league start of his career on Friday night after the Royals scratched second baseman Omar Infante because of tightness in his lower back.

Infante missed 17 games in May with a disk injury in his lower back.

Colon, the team’s No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft, received his call up to the majors on Monday.
