Royals secure outright waivers on Casey Coleman, Moises Sierra

The Royals have secured outright waivers on right-handed pitcher Casey Coleman and outfielder Moises Sierra. They have been assigned outright to Class AAA Omaha.

Coleman, who posted a 1-0 record and 4.07 ERA in 10 appearances for the Royals this season, has until Tuesday to accept the assignment or elect free agency.

Both players were designated for assignment last week. Sierra spent last season with the White Sox and Blue Jays.
