The Royals will have a rare prime-time game air on local television this week
The Royals’ desire to make their games more accessible to fans this season seems to be working.
TV ratings and streaming numbers are both pointed north so far, and one reason for the former is because some games have been simulcast on local television networks. Those over-the-air options have been limited to weekend games, but that will change this week.
The Royals’ game Friday night against the Blue Jays in Toronto will be airing on FanDuel Sports Kansas City as usual, but it also will be shown on KCTV (Ch. 5) and KSMO (Ch. 62). So you won’t need cable or a streaming option to see the team play in the Great White North.
Here is how to watch the Royals’ six games in the week ahead, along with radio information. Fans also can stream games on the FanDuel Sports app, which is available on Amazon Prime.
