Bobby Witt Jr. graces cover of top MLB-licensed video game. Here’s where to find it
Kansas City Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr. is officially a cover athlete.
On Tuesday, Witt was revealed as the cover player on the MLB Clutch Hit Baseball 2025 video game.
Witt is featured with the tagline: “Speed Meets Precision.” He will represent the mobile video game that is available on multiple platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play.
“It’s cool,” Witt said. “They kind of came to us and reached out. We saw the opportunity and it was there.”
MLB Clutch Hit Baseball is a player vs. player (PvP) video game. The gameplay pits players against each other with 3D graphics and unique matches. There are over 2,000 pro athletes in the game with updated real-world statistics.
The game also features different modes. Players can practice before jumping into contested PvP matches. Other game modes include a clutch mode where a player’s skills can be honed and tested.
Witt is excited for the MLB-licensed game. He looks forward to playing it and inspiring younger kids to do the same.
“I just kind of downloaded it,” Witt said. “Just to have the app with my face on it is kind of cool.”
Witt solidified his superstar status last season. He finished second in American League MVP voting and won his first Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award. He also was named the 2024 MLB Heart and Hustle Award winner.
This spring, Witt has rolled in the endorsements and has a special partnership as the first MLB Play Ball Ambassador.
MLB Clutch Hit Baseball is free to download. Witt is the cover athlete after the game’s latest update.
