Here’s how Bobby Witt Jr.’s KC Royals teammates described him ... using only one word

Bobby Witt Jr. has put together a historic 2024 campaign with the Kansas City Royals.

Witt continues to rewrite the franchise record books while becoming a household name around Major League Baseball.

Witt began his ascension this offseason. He signed a massive contract extension with the Royals, was named a 2024 MLB All-Star and participated in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby.

He won the American League batting title and became the first MLB shortstop to have multiple 30-30 seasons.

More importantly, Witt has guided the Royals back to the playoffs. The club hasn’t made the postseason since the 2015 season.

There are a lot of words to describe Witt’s incredible season. Here are a few defining characteristics from those that know him best … his teammates.

Specifically, when they were asked for one word or phrase to sum up the MLB superstar.

Several Royals were excited to talk about Witt’s success on the field. The players used a few descriptors such as “superstar,” “elite” and “awe-inspiring.”

Other players focused on Witt’s humble character off the field. They used phrases and sayings like “kid at heart,” “selfless” and “genuine” to showcase his leadership and demeanor.

Finally, a couple of players paid Witt the ultimate compliment. They praised his hard-working mentality by calling him the “complete package.”
