Johnny Cueto trade increases Royals’ odds in Las Vegas of winning World Series

Already the favorites to win the World Series, the Royals increased their standing in the eyes of Las Vegas oddsmakers with their trade for pitcher Johnny Cueto on Sunday.

According to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the Royals odds to win it all this year are now 7-2, up from 4-1 before the trade.

The second-best odds belong to the St. Louis Cardinals and the LA Dodgers, who are both at 6-1 to win the World Series. The Washington Nationals are at 7-1.

The New York Yankees, at 9-1, have the next-best odds in the American League.

The Royals officially moved into the favorites position a couple of weeks ago.
