Live soon: The KC Royals would be a hot team, if they could only finish games strong
The Royals would be on an outstanding stretch if they were better and closing out games. Twice in the past three, including Monday’s loss at Houston, the Royals were walked off with a ninth-inning home run.
So instead of riding a five-game winning streak, the Royals are 3-2 in those games.
Still, they’ve found ways to win the others. Good starting pitching has led the way, especially Zack Grienke’s most recent start. He pitches Tuesday in Houston.
