Mother Nature apparently has something against the Kansas City Royals playing another game in St. Louis. Nevertheless, the Royals and St. Louis Cardinals plan to get their makeup game in on Monday afternoon.

The Cardinals announced on Sunday morning that the start time for Monday’s makeup game at Busch Stadium had been changed to 12:15 p.m. due to the weather forecast.

The pitching matchup features Royals right-hander Zack Greinke (0-1, 2.86) against Cardinals left-hander Steven Matz (2-1, 6.11).

The initially scheduled start time was 3:15 p.m. But the National Weather Service in St. Louis was forecasting thunderstorms for Monday afternoon and Monday evening.

The game was rescheduled from April 13 because of weather conditions. The teams originally had a scheduled break in the schedule on Monday before beginning a two-game set at Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday night.
